The Sci Tech Week

The Sci-tech Week is a very wonderful experience to each and everyone students in the UP High Campus. It was a very memorable moment during that day. The students can learn many different things about Science & Technology. Many activities was held in different places like in the Gen. Sci Lab, Physics Lab, Conference Hall, UPHS Grounds & Leader.Net. First let us start with the opening of the Sci-tech Week, there was a short meeting in the covered court.Then the ribbon was cut & poof! The Sci-tech Week is officially open! There was the opening of exhibits in the Gen. Sci. Lab. There I saw the fourth years with their experiment about Science. It really sounds weird to me at first because I really do not understand what they are talking about. But then, I still enjoyed it. We were tasked to write down some of the information about their experiments. We then transferred to the Physics Lab with more exhibits & experiments. We saw there Mdm. Lapa & Mdm. Carvajal walking around the Physics Lab.We are done watching the exhibits & me & my 2 classmates went to the grounds & we watch the 2nd years playing soccer. Then, when they were done, we borrowed the ball & together with my classmates we played soccer. We lasted there almost 2 hours. We were told that there were also exhibits in the computers of Leader.Net. We enjoyed more in their exhibits. But one thing I enjoyed the most was their presentations about "Illusions" by the 4th years. Example of that was when we stare at the cross in the middle of colorful squares. Another was the exhibits of the 1st years. Our profiles & pictures where in there with a creative results in the PowerPoint. Mdm. Gallo assigned us before the Sci-tech Week to make a slogan &post it in the UPHS Grounds. There were three members in each group & our slogan is "Helping Filipinos Improve through Science & Technology". Unfortunately, our slogan did not won. But I'm still proud because we did our best. Then during the next day, I am very happy because there were no teaching lessons but we will still go to school because it is Sci-tech Week. During the break in the afternoon, it is now time for my main habit; playing Pokemon crater! & still, I searched for legendary Pokemons. Times had passed &it is now time to go back to school & our teacher said that all of the students will go to the Conference Hall. We went to the College Campus to listen to the reports about the exhibits of the 4th years. There were eight reports per day &we listed down notes about the important details. I also felt boring in listening to the reports but it is also for our own good. During the whole week, there were reports, reports all over the way. The Sci-tech week has been finished & it is time for the closing ceremony.

Family Day

The Family Day happened during Sunday. I think they planned to do it during that day so that the parents of the students can attend because there are no tasks to do or the parents are not so busy during that day. I am very excited during that day because it is just a one year event! I woke up early & had my breakfast. I immediately go to school so that I will not be late. There is an attendance checking in the entrance. When I arrived in the school, there is still just a few students arranging & preparing for the huge event. I just walked around the campus & let5 the time pass & then I helped my classmates arrange the decorations because there is a competition for the most wonderful tent! But still then, the ceremony is not yet beginning. So, I just planned to to go to the Internet Cafe first. My first plan is to make my blog project, but I do not have a draft & also I am not in good condition in making the project. I know it really worth a lot but I just can't help playing Pokemon crater so I decided to play. I also watched videos from You Tube to watch my favorite Wrestling Superstars. I also really love to watch freestyle wrestling! Missing just one episode & I just keep in worrying & obsessed about what just happened. I watched it since I'm just in elementary. Back to the topic, I have really enjoyed playing Pokemon crater & I don't realized that the time has passed & the people inside the campus are now holding a mass. Some of the students are just outside so I decided to continue playing in the Internet Cafe. I think I spent one & a half hour playing Pokemon crater. Then the ceremony has been started & it is time for the playground demonstration. The 1st year students were drafted as the first presentors. We really had a hard & tough practice just to master the steps in order to give the parents a real entertainment to them & we also gave our best in the presentation. We spent a big time in our practice. There is even a day when we went home at 6:30 PM. I think that the parents also enjoy it and we feel happy about it. Then I watched the presentations of the other year levels. They also performed well. Then, together with my two classmates, we roamed around the campus then we went outside. We bought snacks outside ate there. When we came back, the parents & students are now eating! We did not pay for the 200 pesos fee for the food & other fees, so we planned not to go back & we went to the College Campus & once again, we roam around and then times passed, it is getting dark already, I went home.
Family Day is such a memorable moment. I think that each of the students also have a memorable moment.

The KYSD

The KYSD or Know your School Day is maybe one of the most memorable event of the whole school year for me. There is such so many things that happened during that certain time. Many memorable moments was posted in my mind. During that day, the students were given a chance to become a teacher or let just say their idolized teacher to teach the class. Some of my few classmates that I remember were Dan, Ernestine, Leslie and so many others that I could not mention. The teachers can also benefit from this program of the school because their tasks will be reduced. The student can help by just a little thing but it means a lot.
Now I am going to share some of the few moments that I still remember during that day. One good thing about this is that we can just transfer from one place to another or talk when we want. I just do not want to waste that opportunity so I lighted up the candle. Our first subject during the KYSD is Social Science. Our teacher is Leslie. Our topic is about ASEAN Summit. I think all of us were noisy because of the fact that our teacher is just one of our classmate so we have that kind of attitude. I just walk everywhere & just laugh all the way around. Then one hour just passed &the lesson is done. It is time for the next subject. I really do not remember what was it but one thing I remember is that I just do not make it serious in the class! Subject by subject & almost more than hour passed &it is break time. It is twelve o'clock in the afternoon & during that day, my friends were so addicted to the Internet game Pokemon crater. That sounds really familiar to Sir Elmer because I know that he knows a lot about it. We spend the whole break time to play Pokemon crater. We really enjoy that game & devotes our whole life to it. We are spending time searching for legendary Pokemons in the map. It is not that easy to search for legendary Pokemons. But good grace I found some of them! I did not feel sorry for my money because I also enjoy it. We are all back in the campus & it is time again for anther lesson in the classroom. I also felt boring during the class but it is all part growing up. I remember when we have Sci A & our teachers were Jacquelyn & Windel. I sat beside with my classmates Andre, Jhul, Ian & Psalm. we listened but we also talk. We had a quiz about the lesson and fortunately I passed the quiz. I think the KYSD lasted for just a week. In that 5 days, many things happened & I hope the same thing will happen during the next year. And also we should also not forget the Pokemon crater in the KYSD.
